This world famous English rock band possibly brought the world of music to what it is today. Formed in 1961 in Liverpool, the Beatles were one of the most popular bands in the world until their break up in 1970. The band members consisted of Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. Their song "Love Me Do" is not only one of their greatest hits, but the song that is solely responsible for bringing them to mainstream British music. After they achieved recognition, they exploded in popularity and toured until 1966. Once they finally settled down, they produced some of their finest work in studio. Their album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is known to be their greatest album and is considered by many to be a masterpiece.
